7 Responses to Sunday Stamps 053: Hanami season in Japan

  1. I would say the stamp on the right is an old fashioned single rose. I would dearly love to see the Japanese blossom some time. It must be a fantastic sight.

  2. Joy says:

I wonder whether the one on the right is a wild rose. It is the number of cherry trees in Japan that is astounding, it must be wonderful to sit amongst them.

  3. viridian says:

I hear the cherry trees in Washington DC are blooming right now too - a bit earlier than usual. these two stamps are lovely. thanks for participating today.

  4. Postcardy says:

It was interesting to learn about hanami.

  5. The information about hanami is new to me. By a coincidence we have planted a cherry tree today. If its blooms ever match the Japanese I shall be more than satified. The rose is a magnificent stamp.

  6. I think you're right about the cherry blossom; I'd love to see all that pinkness! And the bee with the blossom is gorgeous.

  7. VioletSky says:

if I had a bucket list, seeing the cherry blossoms in Japan would be high on it!
