9 Responses to Sunday Stamps 018: Darwin and the theory of evolution

  1. Postcardy says:

At first I didn't notice the picture of Darwin.

  2. Great stamp! I think the Royal Mail did one to commemorate Darwin a couple of years ago. I keep meaning to go and see his house which is open to the public.

  3. Ann says:

Cool effects on the stamp. Lots of info.

  4. I wish someone will came along to make prove his theory.

    Here is my Sunday Stamp

  5. Sreisaat says:

Postcardy, I didn't notice it right away, too.

Sheila, yes, you are right. The Royal Mail issued commemorative stamps and a souvenir with stamp as well. I wish I could visit the museum when I visit the UK in the future.

    Ann, thanks for dropping by.

Willa, it's not about proving his theory - it's about disproving it. Evolution is, in fact, a scientific theory used by most by biologists... that evolution has taken place is a fact. Evolution, in Darwin's theory, however, involved a lot of complicated details.

  6. One of the best stamps I've seen for Darwin.

The proof for evolution is all around us.

  7. Lisa B says:

    Great stamp!

  8. viridian says:

another great scientist! And the portrait is Darwin as a young man, not the portrait of the older Darwin many of us may recognize. thanks for participating!

  9. Nice stamp sis. My mom used to collect stamps. We still have it. Now I am the one collecting postcards and bank notes. I might include stamps someday.
